Innovating Together: CUE and Venue Edge Partner to Enhance Live Event Engagement

By November 11, 2024News

WINTER PARK, Fla. – Venue Edge (VE) is excited to announce a partnership with CUE, a leader in fan engagement technology. The partnership combines CUE’s versatile digital experience platform with Venue Edge’s expertise in enhancing live events through innovative and creative game presentation, paired with advanced technology. Both companies are committed to improving the audience experience for events and sponsors while streamlining workflows for production teams, ensuring success for teams and venues of all sizes.

Over the past year, CUE and Venue Edge have collaborated at numerous high-profile events across the country. At last fall’s NCAA bowl games, lucky fans were transformed into Pop-Tarts, able to post and share content, and competed in live trivia games all on the stadium video boards. This summer, at Premier League matches in some of the nation’s largest cities, fans shared photos via a live feed from their phones to video displays. Through these events, they’ve engaged with more than 20,000 fans, amplifying the energy and sense of community, significantly enhancing fan interaction, and allowing fans to become active participants in their favorite events. This success reinforces the potential of our partnership.

“We’ve enjoyed partnering with CUE and using their platform to align with our goals and create the best experience for fans and partners,” said David Saphirstein, CEO and founder of Venue Edge. “Our goal is always to enhance the energy at events, and CUE helps us achieve that with their versatile engagement solutions. Additionally, with CUE’s data collection tools, we can now provide venues and organizations with valuable insights, showcasing the success of our work and driving more personalized marketing and engagement opportunities for them.”

Chris Saccoccia, head of global sports at CUE, added, “We share a vision of using technology to create unforgettable experiences for fans. Our companies have aligned well, enjoy working together, and have already seen a lot of success. We’re thrilled about the innovative projects on the horizon and can’t wait to see how they will elevate fan engagement to new heights.”

As teams continue building larger venues with advanced video boards and control systems, CUE and Venue Edge see the chance to help them maximize these systems and create content that drives new opportunities at their events. “Fans expect constant engagement while attending games, regardless of the action on the field or court,” Saphirstein noted. “Sponsors are also looking for ways to support this beyond traditional brand placement. We’re focused on creating meaningful sponsorship integrations, maximizing exposure for brands that complement the event.” He added, “Working with CUE to brainstorm and implement creative content that strengthens connections between teams, their partners, and fans has been well received.”
